É emocionante quando um jogo transcende o esporte e traz à tona a rivalidade cultural. Nesse exemplo, no jogo contra a Nova Zelândia, Tonga respondeu à altura, também com sua dança de guerra:

Nova Zelândia - país lá no fim do mundo, depois até da Austrália e Japão, que cedeu suas belas paisagens para a trilogia cinematográfica d’O Senhor dos Anéis.
All Blacks - time de rugby da Nova Zelândia. Ganhou esse nome desde o começo do século passado devido à cor do uniforme, preto, exceto pela pena prata.
Haka - todas as danças tipicas do povo Māori em que os homens se postam à frente das mulheres, que fazem o apoio das vozes às costas dos homens. É uma dança que demonstra a paixão, o vigor masculino e a identificação com a raça. É usada tanto para dar boas vindas a visitantes quanto para intimidação de tribos inimigas.
O time da Nova Zelândia usa o Haka antes do início de cada partida, sempre acompanhado com euforia pela torcida, com gritos, caretas e muito barulho. Antigamente, alguns Hakas eram compostos especialmente para determinadas temporadas e adaptados para determinados oponentes.

You couldn’t say that already watched a Rugby game if you didn’t watch a game of the All Blacks!!!
They are amazing, they have the hardest team to beat and it’s so delightfull to watch them playing. They have a perfect interaction and always fighting together for a victory and for a good game. The games are always a show of Rugby.
And the Haka before every game with the Silver Fern on the Black Jersey is an image that is really hard to forget. The expressions of each player during the Haka are fantastic. And also the fear expressions of some players of the opponent team are unpaid.
Since 1993 that I am a big fan of the All Blacks.
Now it is 19 days to the beginning of the Rugby World Cup 2007 (www.rugbyworldcup.com) in France and I recommend to watch all the All Blacks’ games and also the games of Australia and South Africa. These three nations are the majors on Rugby.
